I just got back from a 9/11 Memorial Dedication here in Phoenix. It was really a beautiful and touching experience. I found myself crying on several occasions throughout the ceremony. I am glad to see that I have not become so cynical as to not be affected by the tragedy the fell upon this country 5 years ago. While I still do not buy the official story of 9/11 and pretty much blame President Bush for the entire thing happening (complicitly or implicitly, I am not sure), 9/11 still happened and it affected me. A lot more than I thought, actually.
So this post is dedicated to the fallen victims and fallen heros who were there that day. It also dedicated to the survivors, either those who were able to get out of the buildings after the attack and especially to those who went in to save people.
May we never forget!
